Alan Parker has made some classic films. Everyone I mentioned in the comic is worth seeing. After I saw Birdy in Philadelphia, I could never look at the William Penn Statute the same way again. (At least at certain angles!) Made a special trip to see Pink Floyd’s The Wall at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City. Angel Heart left me shaken for weeks. Mississippi Burning is such an incredible film. Gene Hackman and Willem DaFoe are amazing in it. I could go on and on. Go watch some of his films this week. Celebrate what he left us. RIP Mr. Parker.
